I believe education is a civil right.
I believe leadership requires collaboration, courage & humility.
I believe in equity & access, fiscal responsibility, transparent decision-making, and strong communication.
I was the first in my family to graduate from college. I earned my bachelor’s degree in biology at UC Irvine. While working full-time, I earned an MBA from USC and a doctorate in education from UCLA. My parents supported and encouraged me, and I had outstanding personal and professional mentors along the way. In more than 20 years in education, I’ve worked in high-poverty public schools as well as elite private schools and colleges. Having these diverse experiences motivates me to create the best opportunities for all students from pre-K to adult learners. Creating and sustaining this culture of excellence within Azusa Unified will elevate the trajectory of success for our students, their families, and the District as a whole.
