Join me in supporting Azusa schools

Dear Families,

My name is Sabrina Bow and I’m running for Azusa Unified School District Governing Board (“Azusa School Board”). What I bring to the table is an education + business perspective that has been shaped by 20 years in education.  When I taught in an international school, I had classes of 60 pupils and no teacher’s aide. When I worked as a fundraiser for private schools and colleges, I saw the impact of philanthropy on classroom resources and on the opportunities for first-in-family college students like myself.  I worked all through college and earned an MBA and a Doctorate in Education.  When I worked as a consultant, I helped school leaders create strategic plans and align academic goals with strong operations. Each of these experiences lends to my unique education + business perspective.

As a former public school administrator, I understand what it means to meet the needs of teachers and staff while always placing students and parents first.

I have managed budgets, hired teachers and staff, and collaborated on shared visions that inspired students and gave parents confidence that their children would be supported and encouraged to reach higher. What I have learned throughout is that families and communities all want what is best for their children and youth–safe and inviting schools where students are respected and motivated, where teachers and staff have all the resources they need to be top-notch professionals, and where parents have an authentic voice.

I look forward to getting to know you and earning your vote on November 3.  If I don’t connect with you first, I’m just a click away.

Sabrina Bow
